Friendswood Summer Classes

The Bay Area Stars Diving Team, Inc. has been part of the Clear Area since 1987. Its members have come from Southeast Houston, Galveston, League City, Pearland, Friendswood, Nassau Bay, Baytown and Greater Clear Lake communities.

Facilities: One 1 meter and one 3 meter maxiflex diving boards.  The pool depth is 13 feet.  We provide gymnastic mats, vault boards, mini trampolines and entry preparation slide.
Coach(es): Nika Cramner was a four year letterman in diving from Clear Lake high school.  She begins her third year coaching diving and has a BS in Biology from the University of Houston. She will begin her Ophthalmologist studies in the fall. 
Days: Monday and Wednesday
Times: 5:35-6:30 p.m. Lessons. Private lessons are available from 5:00-5:30 and on Fridays (May only) from 5:00-6:30.
Objectives:

To introduce fundamental diving skills to all students.  This includes forward    and backward take off, entries and dives in all positions.  An effort is made to inform all divers about participation in AAU meets.  We want to have fun, get in shape and be safe! 

Sessions:
  1. May 4, 9, 11, 16, 18 23, 25
  2. May 30, June 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22
  3. June 27, 29, July 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, 27 (note the extra day)

Requirements:

Must sign a medical and liability release form AAU membership is available for $14.00
Display an excellent attitude
Perform basic swimming skills (i.e. can go down to the bottom of a 13 foot pool and come to the side.)
Cost:

$85.00 for 8 fifty five minute sessions. Make payments conveniently through Paypal. A Paypal account is not required.  No makeup lessons except for pool closures. Private lessons are available on Fridays (May only). $75 for the second or more child. Checks or cash only.
